Mitigating Risks for Workplace Violence
As organizations look toward reopening in the new normal created by COVID-19, a return to businesses, campuses and public spaces includes risks for targeted violence.

A perceived increase in workplace violence incidents in recent months has shifted security concerns beyond virus transmission, or property and asset protection, to focus on what’s truly most important—keeping people, patrons and visitors safe.

But what can be done when an individual shows signs of potential violent behavior? How should organizations respond? Crises can happen in and around any workplace at any time. So as employees return to work with higher frequency, the question becomes: How prepared are organizations to not only respond to potential incidents of workplace violence, but prevent them?

Join Patricia Coureas, former FBI agent and current Principal Consultant for the ADT Commercial Enterprise Security Risk Group for a conversation with Chris Patin, Regional Security Director for Seattle Children’s. They will discuss how to anticipate conflict in the workplace and respond before violence occurs by understanding and employing critical de escalation strategies.
